The first specimen was lot 22058 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Real, 1867-Go YF. Guanajuato Mint. PCGS MS-66 Gold Shield. Virtually perfect, this stunning minor displays a bold strong and vivid tone that shows significant hues of mauve and orange-gold in the centers with blue, green and violet coloration around the outer edges.
