From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." Of the fourteen mints of the Republic of Mexico, only Oaxaca did not strike this type. Two reales were struck at Guanajuato 1825-63 and 1867-68 with assayer PM recorded for 1842-48. Guanajuato and Zacatecas were the two mints which made a serious effort to strike minor coinage in addition to eight reales for export. This overdate is mentioned in the SCWC and awarded a slight premium over the regular date.
