This specimen was lot 6260 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $258.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Durango. 8 Reales, 1846-RM. Light attractive toning. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." The Durango mint struck eight reales 1824-95 and this date is common. The SCWC notes 1846/31 and 1846/36 overdates as well as the regular date.
