This specimen was lot 431 in Morton & Eden sale 104 (London, November 2019), where it sold for £600 (about US$929 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic, 8 reales, Durango mint, 1867 CP, normal date (though with a die flaw at 7) and assayer, rim bruise, good very fine to extremely fine. Ex Guzman Collection." Several die varieties are known for this date, including CP, CP/M and CP/LT. All are scarce.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a scarce date.
Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.785 troy oz ASW.
