This specimen was lot 3635 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €320 (about US$445 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 6-Gröscher 1755, W/E, Königsberg. Prägung für die Provinz Preußen. Mit Signatur W im Armabschnitt. Stempelschneider Otto Herman Wissel. Vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 15, Dortmund 2000, Nr. 435. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, six groscher of 1755, Königsberg mint, struck for the province of Prussia, with initial "W" below the bust. Extremely fine.)"

The six groscher and the accompanying three groscher and eighteen groscher were used in East Prussia and the neighboring parts of Poland. The armored bust type of 1753-57 was the first of the denomination minted since 1723. The Königsberg mint also struck other six groscher with a crowned bust (KM B279, and KM C279) in 1755, which are considerably scarcer.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.12 g, silver, 21-22 mm diameter, this specimen 2,92 g.

Catalog reference: KM A277, Olding 206 A (this example); Kluge 225.3.
