Shown is an 1899MoM five centavos, of a type struck at the Mexico City mint 1898-1905. This issue is one of the plentiful dates, even in nice condition. It features the redesigned eagle introduced on all the silver denominations in 1898. Other mints include Culiacan, Guanajuato and Zacatecas; the other branch mints having closed.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW, 15 mm diameter.

Recorded Mintage: 168,000.
