The regular issue ranged 1869-97 from Mexico City, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Culiacan, Guadalajara, Alamos, Hermosillo, Durango and even Oaxaca. Culiacan issued this type 1871-96. This date is scarce, probably rarer than acknowledged by the SCWC, and is notable for having the eagle die borrowed from the 2½ pesos. This muling was repeated in 1886.

Recorded mintage: 18,000.

Specification: 2.707 g, 0.903 fine silver, .078 troy oz ASW.
