This specimen was lot 72035 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Gold Peso, 1885-Mo M. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-62. Full[y] struck with consistent coloration and alluring gleam over the surfaces." The Mexico City mint struck this type 1870-1905 and is by far the largest producer. The SCWC does not award this date a premium but many rare dates are not noted as such therein.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.875 fine gold, .047 troy oz AGW.
