This specimen was lot 72248 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $40. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 50 Centavos, 1875-Go S. Guanajuato Mint. NGC EF Details--Obverse Scratched. Second finest of three graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Guanajuato mint struck silver fifty centavos 1869-87. Unlike the five and ten centavos, the early dates are more common than the later ones although none are rare. Assayer S operated 1869-82 and the mint closed in 1900.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a somewhat better date.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.903 fine silver, 30.5 mm diameter, reeded edge.
