This specimen was lot 34347 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico: Republic gold 8 Escudos 1864 Do-LT XF45 NGC, Durango mint. Showcasing nicer central details than are usually seen on the type in general and for this grade specifically." Durango is a common mint for eight escudos but many dates are rare. No premium is given for this date. Assayer LT is listed for 1864-65.
