This specimen was lot 41376 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 1/6 Taler, 1751-IBH. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg II August (George II of Great Britain). PCGS AU-58. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." The six mariengroschen last coined in Hannover in 1715. this type was struck 1727-60 and is expensive in nice condition. This was the only 1/6 thaler struck in 1751.
