Künker sale 386, lot 5210

This specimen was lot 5210 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €420 (about US$543 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, AB 1692 KURFÜRSTENTUM HANNOVER, Georg II. 1727-1760. 2/3 Taler 1751, Clausthal. Fast vorzüglich. (electorate of Hannover, George II, 1727-60, two-thirds thaler of 1751, Clausthal mint. About extremely fine.)"

Despite being struck nearly every year during 1740-60, this gulden has a rather high catalog value. Other gulden for 1751 include KM 276 (bust obverse) and KM 286 (wild man reverse).
