Hannover 1751-IAS 4 goldgulden Fr-609
This specimen was lot 42262 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 4 Goldgulden (8 Talers), 1751-IAS. Hannover Mint. George II. NGC AU-53. Among the more elusive of German States types, this Multiple Gold Gulden offers charming details, ever wear, and even some retained brilliance throughout. Our first offering of this type since 2013, and quite clearly a type that does not surface often in any public auction setting." This four goldgulden was struck 1749-52 along with one with a bare bust (KM 313). Both types are lumped together as Fr-609 in Friedberg.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
