from the Stack's Bowers June 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71509

This specimen was lot 71509 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $288. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 10 Pounds, 1998. Llantrisant Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Nearly flawless with no signs of haze, sports or tone. A truly brilliant and exceptional example." This type was struck 1998-2000 with an updated bust of the queen. It was accompanied by KM 1011 (₤100), KM 1010 (₤50) and KM 1009 (₤25).
