This specimen was lot 71508 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 10 Pounds, 1995. Llantrisant Mint. NGC PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo. A technically p[er]fect example of this issue. Hard mirrored surfaces with frosted and detailed devices." This type was struck 1990-96. The prior type (KM 953) varied in being alloyed with copper instead of silver. It was accompanied by KM 953a (₤100), KM 952a (₤50) and KM 951a (₤25).

Recorded mintage: 500.

Specification: 3.41 g, 0.917 fine gold, 16.5 mm diameter, 0.10 troy oz AGW.
