This specimen was part of lot 21164 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), which sold for $2,760. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Britannia Proof Set (4 Pieces), 1993. London Mint. Average Grade: GEM PROOF. 1) 100 Pounds. 2) 50 Pounds. 3) 25 Pounds. 4) 10 Pounds. KM-PS85. 1.85 oz AGW. Sold with the box of issue and COA." This type was struck 1990-96. The prior type (KM 951) varied in being alloyed with copper instead of silver. It was accompanied by KM 953a (₤100), KM 952a (₤50) and KM 950a (₤10).
