This specimen was part of lot 30415 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), which sold for $4,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "Cuba, Republic Pair of Certified gold Proof "March to Victory" Multiple Pesos 1988 NGC, 1) 50 Pesos - PR69 Ultra Cameo, KM 208. Mintage: 150. 2) 100 Pesos - PR69 Ultra Cameo. Struck to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution. Each exhibiting a pristine gloss to the fields, close inspection with a loupe revealing no flaws whatsoever. From the El Don Diego Luna Collection." The year 1988 saw the release of many self-congratulatory NCLT's by the Cuban regime. Greeted by disinterest from the world at large, many are now rare.
