Sincona sale 20, lot 3048

This specimen was lot 3048 in Sincona sale 20 (Zurich, October 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "8 Reales 1828. Guanajuato Assayer MJ. Fast vorzüglich. (choice extremely fine.)" The Guanajuato mint operated 1812-1900 and struck this type 1825-97. This is a better date tho not rare. Assayer MJ operated 1826-33.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW, this specimen 26.95 g.
