Stephen Album sale 43, lot 2446

This specimen was lot 2446 in Stephen Album sale 43 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2022), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO: Republic, AR 10 centavos, 1889-Go/Ho, assayer R/G, nicely toned, better variety, NGC graded MS64." This type was struck at Guanajuato 1869-97 and most dates are common. The repunched mintmark and assayer catalogued here is also mentioned in the SCWC, which awards it no premium.

Recorded mintage: 205,000.

Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver.
