Künker sale 386, lot 5211

This specimen was lot 5211 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €420 (about US$543 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, AB 1692 KURFÜRSTENTUM HANNOVER, Georg II. 1727-1760. Reichstaler 1752, Clausthal. Feine Patina, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (electorate of Hannover, George II, 1727-60, thaler of 1752, Clausthal mint. Fine patina, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This "leaping stallion" thaler was struck 1751-60 and has a moderate catalog value. Other thalers for 1752 include KM 232.1 (St. Andrew reverse), KM 291 (White Swan mine), KM 292 (Cronenburg's Luck mine), KM 293 (Lautenthal's Luck mine), KM 312 (Bliefeld Mine) and KM 320 (King Karl Mine).
