This specimen was lot 3512 in Künker sale 440 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €65 (about US$90 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH Friedrich II. (I.), 1797-1806-1816. Kreuzer 1799, Stuttgart. Mit Monogramm F . II, die Rückseite mit der Jahreszahl über gekreuztem Palm- und Lorbeerzweig. Min. Prägeschwäche, vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Münzhandlung Sonntag 29, Stuttgart 2018, Nr. 1381. (duchy of Württemberg, Frederick II, 1797-1816, kreuzer of 1799, Stuttgart mint. Obverse with monogram "F . II", reverse with date over palm and laurel wreath. This scarce type was struck 1799-1802. One convention thaler was 120 kreuzer. Frederick's support of Napoleon was rewarded with promotion from duke to king in 1806, along with a substantial addition of territory as mediatization swept away the free cities and ecclesiastical states.
Recorded mintage: 522,000.
Specification: billon, this specimen 0,64 g.
