This specimen was lot 4499 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €750 (about US$982 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WÜRTTEMBERG, WÜRTTEMBERG, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH. Friedrich II. (I.), 1797-1806-1816. 20 Kreuzer 1798. R Kl. Stempelfehler, vorzüglich. (Germany, duchy of Wurttemberg, Frederick II, 1797-1816, twenty kreuzer of 1798, Stuttgart mint. Rim defects, extremely fine.)"
Two different coins of the same module were issued in 1798. This one has a "20" (for 20 kreuzer) on the reverse and the crown divides the legend. The other (KM 462), which we have chosen to catalog as a one-sixth thaler, has a continuous legend on the reverse and no mark of value.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 6.68 g, 0.583 fine silver, this specimen 6.65 g.
Catalog reference: KM 463, AKS 5; Klein/Raff 7.1.
