Wurttemberg 1803 thaler Dav-935
This specimen was lot 2843 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Württemberg, Kurfürstentum, Friedrich II (I.), 1797-1816 Konventionstaler 1803. Sog. Kurfürstentaler. Selten. Gutes vorzüglich mit schöner Patina. Min. justiert (Germany, electorate of Württemberg, Frederick II, 1797-1816, convention thaler of 1803, so called 'elector's thaler.' Scarce, good extremely fine with handsome patina, minor adjustment marks.)"
Issues from this state in the eighteenth century are scanty; not until it was enlarged by Napoleon did the duchy achieve any importance.
