This specimen was lot 506 in Schulman auction 379 (Amsterdam, June 2024), where it sold for €220 (about US$283 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WEST-FRIESLAND Het Gewest 1581 - 1795. Dukaton of zilveren rijder. 1673, Silver Type Ia. Binnencirkels op voor‒ en keerzijde. Ruiter naar rechts boven ongekroond gewestelijk wapentje. Mmt. vijfbladige bloem MO: NO. ARG. PRO: CON - FCE. BELG. WESTF. Kz. klein gekroond wapen zonder cartouche, jaartal in omschrift boven de kroon. Gladde rand. Zeer fraai. (province of Westfriesland, ducaton or silver rider of 1673, type Ia, with inner circles on obverse and reverse. Obverse: Mounted knight charges to right over the provincial arms, rosette mintmark; reverse: small crowned arms without cartouche, date in legend above the crown; plain edge. Very fine.)"

This type, the largest silver coin of the United Provinces, was struck in Westfriesland 1659-74. Another ducaton was struck in 1673 at Dirk Bosch's mint in Enkhuiven using a screw press (Dav-4941).
