This specimen was lot 505 in Schulman auction 379 (Amsterdam, June 2024), where it sold for €110 (about US$141 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WEST-FRIESLAND Het Gewest 1581 - 1795. Zilveren dukaat. 1672, Silver Type I. Staande ridder met zwaard tussen jaartal, gewestelijk wapen aan de voet, met titel WESTF. Kz. generaliteitswapen, daarboven mmt. vijfbladige bloem. Binnencirkels op voor- en keerzijde. Gladde rand. R Centraal wat zwak, aantrekkelijke patina. Zeer fraai +. (province of Westfriesland, silver ducat of 1672, type I. Obverse: standing knight with sword divides the date, provincial arms at his feet; reverse: arms of the Generality, rosette mintmark and inner circles on obverse and reverse; plain edge. Scarce, somewhat weak centers, attractive patina, very fine or better.)"

Silver ducats were struck in most of the provinces that today make up the Netherlands. The basic type runs 1659-1794. This subtype was struck 1659-75 and 1687 along with lion daalders (Dav-4870), rijksdaalders (Dav-4842), ducatons (Dav-4941) and three gulden (Dav-4961).
