from Sincona sale 11, lot 2184

This specimen was lot 2184 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"NIEDERLANDE Westfriesland Niederländischer Reichstaler 1649. Sehr schön. (Netherlands, province of Westfriesland, rijksdaler of 1649, very fine.)"

This type was struck 1607-93 along with lion daalders (Dav-4870), silver ducats (Dav-4906), ducatons (Dav-4941) and three gulden (Dav-4961).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 29.03 g, 0.885 fine silver, this specimen 28.66 g.
