Provincial silver Double Ducaton (2 Silver Rider) 1670 MS63 NGC. Exceedingly flashy and struck with impressive reliefs practically jumping towards the viewer when seen in hand. Decidedly mark-free and punctuated with a light peach glow, we anticipate fervent bids when crossing the auction block. From the Coenen Collection." Altho the SCWC lists this as a pattern, double ducatons are attested for many dates and most of the provinces. They were struck for presentation.
