Sincona sale 12, lot 546

This specimen was lot 546 in Sincona sale 12 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 2,200 CHF (about US$2,846 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "20 Kopecks 1830, St. Petersburg Mint, H. About uncirculated." This type, listed for 1826-31, is scarcer than preceding (KM C128) or succeeding types (KM C165).

Recorded mintage: 1,175,000.

Specification: 4.14 g, 0.868 fine silver, this specimen 3.93 g.
