Ras Al Khaimah AH 1390 7-1/2 riyals KM-30
The first specimen was lot 3233 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $476. The catalog description[1] noted, "RAS AL KHAIMA: Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad, 1948-2010, AR 7½ riyals, 1970/AH1390, falcon, NGC graded MS68." The second specimen was lot 3732 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[2] noted, "RAS AL KHAIMA: Saqr bin Mohammed al-Qasimi, 1948-2010, AR 7½ riyals, 1970/AH1390, Wildlife Series - Falcon, PCGS graded MS66." The total coinage of this state, now part of the United Arab Emirates, comprises several sets of NCLT's issued in 1969-70, including this one honoring the sheik's favorite pastime, falconry. It was accompanied by a copper-nickel fifty dirhams (KM 28) and silver 2½ riyals (KM 29).
