Steve Album sale 55, lot 3731

This specimen was lot 3731 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "RAS AL KHAIMA: Saqr bin Mohammad al-Qasimi, 1948-2010, AR 2½ riyals, 1970/AH1390, Falcon, PCGS graded MS66." The total coinage of this state, now part of the United Arab Emirates, comprises several sets of NCLT's issued in 1969-70, including this one honoring the sheik's favorite pastime, falconry. It was accompanied by a copper-nickel fifty dirhams (KM 28) and silver 7½ riyals (KM 30).
