This specimen was part of lot 31272 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), which sold for $5,760. The catalog description[1] noted, "United Arab Emirates: Ras Al-Khaimah. Saqr Bin Muhammad al Qasimi 8-Piece Uncertified gold & silver Proof Set 1970, 1) 7-1/2 Riyals, 2) 10 Riyals; 3) 15 Riyals, 4) gold 50 Riyals; 5) gold 75 Riyals; 6) gold 100 Riyals, KM 23; 7) gold 150 Riyals, KM 24; 8) gold 200 Riyals, KM 25. Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Italian unification. Sold with the original box and accompanying set pamphlet issued by Centro Numismatico Internazionale. Total AGW approx. 3.444 oz." The total coinage of this state, now part of the United Arab Emirates, comprises several sets of NCLT's issued in 1970, including this one honoring Italy.
