This specimen was lot 3729 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "RAS AL KHAIMA: Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad, 1948-2010, 50 dirhams, 1970/AH1390, Wildlife Series - Falcon, PCGS graded MS69." The total coinage of this state, now part of the United Arab Emirates, comprises several sets of NCLT's issued in 1969-70, including this one honoring the sheik's favorite pastime, falconry. It was accompanied by a silver 2½ riyals (KM 29) and silver 7½ riyals (KM 30).
