This specimen was lot 75813 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $5,280. The catalog description[1] noted, "UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Ajman. 25 Riyals, ND (1970). NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. A VERY RARE issue from the "men of peace" series, this alluring and handsome offering yields sharp strike quality throughout, with bold and impressive cameo contrast." Ajman only issued coins in 1969-71 and all are NCLT's. The sheikdom joined the United Arab Emirates and coinage ceased. The "Men of Peace" series included Dag Hammarskjöld, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, George Marshall, Bertrand Russell, Albert Schweitzer (shown here), Jan Palach and Albert Luthuli.
