This specimen was lot 3518 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "AJMAN: Rashid Bin Hamad al-Naimi, 1928-1981, AR riyal, 1970/AH1390, PCGS graded MS65." Altho the SCWC and Numista unite in calling the bird on the reverse a chicken, it is not a chicken but a partridge, most likely Alectoris melanocephala or Alectoris chukar. All of Ajman's coinage was struck 1969-70. The sheikdom joined the United Arab Emirates and coinage ceased.
