Künker sale 353, lot 3373

This specimen was part of lot 3373 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), which sold for €120 (about US$167 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. ...b) 1/12 Taler 1746 EGN, Berlin. Münzmeister Ernst Georg Neubauer. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 7, Dortmund 1996, Nr. 215. 2 Stück., Kl. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-twelfth thaler of 1746, Berlin mint, [one of] two pieces, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1740-46. No more were struck until 1750.
