"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. Mariengroschen 1746, ICG, Esens. Prägung für die westlichen Landesteile. Münzmeister Johann Christian Gittermann. Von größter Seltenheit. Schön-sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. Friedrich Otto, Rittergut Passendorf, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 126, Osnabrück 2007, Nr. 2391. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, mariengroschen of 1746, Aurich mint, struck for the western provinces. Extremely rare, fine to very fine.)"

The Prussians lost the province to Napoleon in 1807 and it passed to Hannover at the Congress of Vienna. This is a rare one year type.
