This specimen was lot 1408 in Stack's "Vermuele, Ward & Mexico Maxico" sale (New York, January 2010), where it sold for $977.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Republic. 10 Pesos, 1903 Mo M. Mexico City. Bold eagle facing r. with snake in beak. Rv. Cap and Rays above scales of Justice, dagger, and scroll of laws. A lustrous nearly Uncirculated coin that boasts a bold strike and clean surfaces. Both sides show a couple of shallow planchet inclusions best seen with a loupe. Choice About Uncirculated."
