Mexico 1903Cn 10 pesos rev DSLR.jpg

This specimen shown is one of a series struck 1870-1905 at the Culiacan mint. Culiacan is considered an "in between" mint for this type; less common than Mexico City, Durango, Zacatecas or Oaxaca but more available than Chihuahua, Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Hermosillo or Alamos. Mintage figures are not a reliable indicator of rarity for this type due to the accidents of hoarding; many low mintage issues are readily available while other high mintage issues are very rare.

Recorded mintage: 774 pieces.

Specification: 16.92 g, 0.875 fine gold, .476 troy oz AGW.

Catalog reference: KM 413.2, Fr-135.
