This specimen was lot 45414 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Peso, 1898-Go RS. Guanajuato Mint. NGC MS-61. A well struck Peso with blazing luster, faint almond peripheral tone, and some light scuffs in the fields." The type was struck 1898-1905 and 1908-09; this date is common. The Guanajuato mint closed in 1900.

Recorded mintage: 4,256,000.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver.
