This specimen was lot 3642 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mexico. Escudo, 1830/29-Mo JM. Hand on book. Listed as Extremely Rare in the Richard Long book. NGC graded AU-55." The Mexico City mint struck this type 1825-63 and 1868-69 and most dates count as common.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.875 fine gold, .095 troy oz AGW.
