This specimen was lot 5216 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,068 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-CALENBERG-HANNOVER, AB 1692 KURFÜRSTENTUM HANNOVER, Georg III. 1760-1820. Reichstaler 1763, Zellerfeld. Ausbeute der Grube Lautenthals Glück. R Fast vorzüglich. (electorate of Hannover, George III, 1760-1820, thaler of 1763, Zellerfeld mint, for the "Lautenthal's Luck" mine. Rare, about extremely fine.)"

The elector had four different thalers struck in 1763: KM 232.2 (George II/St. Andrews reverse), KM 343/Dav-2104 (George III/St. Andrew reverse), KM 353 (Lautenthal's Luck mine, shown here), KM 354 (wild man reverse). This type was struck 1763 only and is expensive. Officials struck "Lautenthal's Luck" mining thalers in 1756 but these were in the name of George II, the prior king.
