This specimen was lot 41382 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 12 Mariengroschen (1/3 Taler), 1762-IBH. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of Great Britain). PCGS AU-53. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." The 12 mariengroschen was last struck in Hannover in 1715. This type was struck 1762-84 and is expensive in nice condition. It was the only design used on this denomination in 1762.
