This specimen was lot 74585 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 6 Mariengroschen (1/6 Taler), 1763-IAP. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of Great Britain). PCGS AU-55. A dove-gray example with hints of champagne toning. Note that the holder is in error regarding the attribution. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1762-84 and is common. It superseded KM 180, struck 1743-60 for George II.
