This specimen was lot 71006 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $292.80. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Kingdom. Ecu, 1790-D. Lyon Mint. Louis XVI. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details. Though lightly cleaned and circulated, this crown offers some alluring cabinet toning reappearing. From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquird from CGF in 2000 for $289). Ex: Kolsky Collection (CGF - 1/2000) Lot # 35." This écu au buste habillé was struck at the Lyon mint 1775-78, 1782, 1789-91.
