Sincona sale 90, lot 974

This specimen was lot 974 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 625 CHF (about US$826 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA Volksrepublik, 100 Yuan 1994. XXVI. Olympische Sommerspiele 1996 in Atlanta. Fackelläuferin. Nur 5'500 Exemplare geprägt. NGC PF69 ULTRA CAMEO. (people's republic of China, one hundred yuan of 1994, Olympic Summer Games of 1996 in Atlanta, torch bearer. Only 5,500 pieces minted.)"

This type weighed one third of an ounce.
