This specimen was lot 72083 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $282. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 10 Yuan, 1994. Black Billed Magpies. PCGS PROOF-67 DEEP CAMEO. Hard mirror fields with frosted cameo devices." This long running series honoring Chinese wildlife goes back to at least 1989 (KM-254).
Recorded mintage: 3,900 proofs.
