This specimen was lot 22369 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 25 Yuan, 1994. Unicorn Series. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Exceptional cameo nature, free from any distracting spots of haze." This type was accompanied by a silver 50 yuan (KM 679), silver 100 yuan (KM 681), gold 100 yuan (KM 682), silver 150 yuan (KM 683) and gold 500 yuan (KM 684). This NCLT inaugurated another long-running series of commemoratives in addition to the panda and Chinese zodiac programs already in process.

Specification: 7.78 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.250 troy oz AGW, 22 mm diameter.
