This specimen was lot 1133 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "China-People's Republic. Platinum 10 Yuan, 1994. 1/10 ounce. Panda series. Choice Brilliant Proof." This denomination was used in 1994 for many NCLT's including:

  • KM 522 (Olympic soccer), KM 526 (Olympic archery), KM 527 (Olympic basketball), KM 528 (Olympic boxing),
  • KM 612 (gold panda), KM 616 (silver panda) and KM 623 (platinum panda, shown here),
  • KM 642 and KM 643 (year of the dog),
  • KM 651 (12th Asian Games running) and KM 652 (12th Asian Games swimming),
  • KM 654 (Confucius),
  • KM 655 (Socrates),
  • KM 656 (Rembrandt),
  • KM 657 (Verdi),
  • KM 662 (goddess Guanyin in gold) and KM 663 (goddess Guanyin in silver),
  • KM 671 (magpies),
  • KM 625 and KM 673 (dragon and phoenix),
  • KM 675 (silver unicorn) and KM 676 (gold unicorn),
  • KM 686 (Sino-Singapore friendship).

In addition, the panda was struck in many sizes in silver, gold and platinum.
