This specimen was lot 668 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €1,000 (about US$1,348 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, HERZOGTUM Ernst August, 1679-1698, seit 1662 Bischof von Osnabrück. 1/4 Reichstaler 1692, Clausthal. Von größter Seltenheit. Attraktives Exemplar mit hübscher Patina, sehr schön. (Germany, duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg, Ernest Augustus, 1679-98, since 1662 bishop of Osnabrück, quarter thaler of 1692, Clausthal mint. Very rare, attractive example with handsome patina, very fine.)"
