Sincona sale 66, lot 1840

This specimen was lot 1840 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$856 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HEILIGES ROMISCH REICH, Maria Theresia, 1740-1780. 1/2 Taler 1764, Wien. Vorzüglich-FDC. Minimal justiert. (Austria, Maria Theresia, 1740-80, half thaler of 1764, Vienna mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated, Minor adjustment marks.)"

This type was struck 1758-65 at Hall (KM 1821) and Vienna (shown here). It is common.
